I love this book! It is the cutest thing!

 My sweet friend Kelly gave it to me as a housewarming gift and I couldn't help but share with all of you! It is the perfect gift for someone who loves dogs (me) and/or French scenery (me, again!). The colors, photos and quotes are just beautiful! It has the best photos of the cutest little dogs taken by Rachael Hale all over France.





I mean look at that face! So cute!



Not to mention the sweetest little quotes throughout as well...

 It makes me so happy to look at :) I just love it!  Whether you are a dog lover or not you will love flipping through this book. Just so pretty!

wreath alternative

In our new house we have double entry doors and I didn't really want to do the whole double wreath thing. I love to have something fun and inviting at the front door so I started my search for flat back baskets! When we were in North Carolina this summer I nearly screeched when I found these!

All I had to do was add flowers! Although mine are a little subdued now, I can't wait to decorate them for each of the seasons.

our groceries

So this isn't the prettiest post, but it is worth reading. 

Last week at a get together my friend Jessica told me about an app called Our Groceries. 

IT. IS. AMAZING.

You can share your ongoing shopping lists with your spouse...so when he needs something he can add it to the list and I will see it next time I open the app at the store. I don't have to remember to ask if needs anything or more importantly he doesn't have to remember to tell me what he needs :) 

Create multiple lists for your favorite stores...Some things you can only get at certain stores so if I need paint or specialty light bulbs I can add it to our Home Depot list and we can see what we need before having to ask eachother!

Added bonuses are that you are never without your list and you still get to cross off the items when you are done! I am telling you...it is life changing. Go download it now! :)

ina's east hampton "barn"

I love to look at other people's homes and see thier style. Not in a creepy/nosey way, but I think it is so entertaining to see what other people love and how they make their house a home. As if I didn't explain how much I love Ina here...I then came across her "barn" featured in House Beautiful. Keep in mind this is not the main house, but the barn behind the main house...sighhh

An amazing open kitchen...perfect for entertaining!

She has great natural light and I love all of the neutral colors with exposed beams. The fireplace in this big open room is such an amazing addition!

All of the rooms are so clean, crisp, and warm at the same time.

Last but not least...I would probably spend most of time out here...looks so relaxing.

save v. splurge

 I love my J.Crew rhinestone top, I've been wearing it all summer and debating whether or not I should buy it in light blue and navy as well. I then came across these longsleeve versions online at Kohl's - of all places!  They are cute, have the rhinestone collar detail and not to mention are over $70 less! 

I still love the sleevless version especially for spring and summer but I think the longsleeve version will be so cute under a sweater or vest this fall and will add a little fun girly detail to a basic button up paired with jeans or pants.

Madewell is fairly new to Houston and I don't know how, but I am just now finding out about it! I randomly stopped in while I was at the Galleria last week and am so glad I did! If you haven't been, GO! It is the cutest shop - not to mention part of the J.Crew fam - even the dressing rooms have the most fun little silver chairs I love. 

If you visit the Houston Galleria it is in the Nordstrom wing across from Banana Republic on the second floor.
